Joint Computer-aided Acquisition Logistic Support (JCALS)
As a subcontractor to OAO Corporation, ASRC Communications provides a wide spectrum of Information Technology support to the Army's Command, Control, and Communications customers. We offer unique skills in developmental test and evaluation of both future and upgraded information technology systems. The primary thrust of our effort has been in support of the Program Manager for the Joint Computer-aided Acquisition Logistic Support (JCALS) Program. This effort provides comprehensive test and evaluation support, often in real-time, for hardware and software developed by Computer Science Corp. for the U.S. Government. Specific tasks include document review, representation of the JCALS Developmental Tester at technical meetings, development of Test Design Plans and the execution of incremental tests and evaluation activities as directed by the customer.
An additional task is to provide early assessment of field site readiness to accept JCALS equipment and supporting communications links. The JCALS Test Team also provides final site acceptance testing as systems are fielded to the Armed Services. The ASRC Communications Test team is presently closing out JCALS Software Engineering Package 2 (SWP2) test activities and planning for SWP3 developmental testing.
