ASRC Communications Appoints Laura Hanson to Be
Vice President of Operations
Government Contracting Veteran Will Oversee Company’s Intelligence and Information Technology Operations in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado
October 14, 2009 – Greenbelt, MD – ASRC Communications has appointed Laura Hanson to the newly created position of vice president of operations. In this capacity she will oversee the company’s military intelligence and information technology operations in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.
A veteran of more than 23 years in government and contracting, Hanson will continue to be based in Sierra Vista, Ariz., where she has directed operations and managed several intelligence, doctrine and sensor processing programs for ASRC Communications. Earlier she held senior systems engineering and technical advisory positions in support of the government. She is a retired military intelligence and acquisition officer, and has extensive experience in system acquisition, government contracting, and combat development.
“Laura brings extensive knowledge of the business environment from both government and contracting perspectives,” said Junji Takahashi, president of ASRC Communications. “She works closely with our customers to anticipate their needs, formulates cost-effective solutions for their problems, and expedites execution to help meet mission requirements.”
In addition to Hanson’s appointment, ASRC Communications has named Al Casper to be program manager for several of its military intelligence programs and Vicki Jackson to be program manager for the company’s doctrine-related work. Both have supported the intelligence community for more than 25 years.
Casper has provided expert management and technical support for numerous Army program, project, and capability managers. He has extensive experience in system acquisition, information technology, electronic warfare equipment, systems integration and modernization efforts, curriculum development and classroom instruction.
Jackson has an extensive background in intelligence doctrine and training development. Most recently she was doctrine site lead for ASRC Communications, supervising more than 25 contractors and facilitating positive government-contractor relations.
